PostNord Resumes 3YOURMIND Partnership With New 3D Printing Portal

Berlin, Germany: PostNord—a leading Nordic supplier of communication and logistics solutions, has announced its continued partnership with 3YOURMIND—Berlin-based 3D printing software start-up, as part of its 3D printing initiative. The start-up can offer a unique 3D software platform that is adapted to PostNord’s 3D printing business-to-business (B2B) solution.

In resuming this partnership, PostNord is furthering its overall investment in 3D technologies, with the launch of a new 3D portal via PostNord Strålfors.

“We are very pleased to be able to launch our 3D Portal. It is a next step to—in a simple way—make the 3D market more accessible,” said Ylva Ekborn, the chief executive officer of the PostNord Strålfors Group.

The 3D portal was developed in collaboration with 3YOURMIND, calling on its expertise in helping clients connect segments of their workflow and to help them increase their adoption of 3D printing technologies. Here, 3D workflows link production location and teams, with PostNord seizing the opportunity to leverage this experience.

According to PostNord: “Our 3D portal makes it as easy to order a 3D print—as simple as shopping in any online store. All you need to do is log in, place an order and then the product is sent to you.”

Available to PostNord’s corporate customers and the B2B market, this 3D portal offers on-demand 3D printing solutions. Through this project tool, customers can enjoy what PostNord deems as “a seamless production in a cloud-based solution.”

“PostNord Strålfors strives to be our customer’s digitization partner, which means we need to be at the forefront and take advantage of the opportunities that the digital development creates. Since we launched our 3D investment in the beginning of the year, we have received positive response and it is evident that more and more companies are exploring the possibilities of incorporating 3D solutions into their businesses,” Ms Ekborn commented.

Further, this portal enables businesses to ply the entire project chain safely in an encrypted environment—from initial conceptualisation through implementation and finally to the 3D printing of products. Users will also be able to access 3D printing expertise to assist them in drafting CAD blueprints, as well as general 3D printing advice.
