Georg Ultraturn T
The Georg Ultraturn T is an extra-large turning centre for turbines. It has a maximum turning diameter of 7,000 mm, a maximum centre width of 25,000 mm, and a maximum workpiece weight of 350 t.
Georg Ultraturn T features a tool holder in slide design with integrated drilling and milling unit, an automatic turbine measuring system, and hydrostatic guideways of the linear axes. The Georg Ultraturn company states that it allows for complete machining including turning, drilling, milling, grinding and measuring operations in one machine. Georg Ultraturn T also has a preloaded and backlash-free master-slave drive for the longitudinal axes, as well as backlash-free ball screw drive for carriage adjustment.
