Music Celebrations International would like to invite your ensemble to perform in the Beethoven 251 Orchestra Festival in Vienna as part of Beethoven’s 251st Birthday Celebration taking place throughout Germany and Austria. Select orchestras will be featured in performance in Vienna’s historic Musikverein on June 19 or July 11. All participating orchestras are selected by application process through Music Celebrations.
Vienna, affectionately known as the “Capital of Classical Music”, holds a special place in the hearts of musicians as it was here where composers like Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, and Beethoven established their musical careers. Beethoven said of this city, “Perhaps heaven will permit me not to have to give up Vienna as my permanent abode.” Countless other composers and musicians have at one point called Vienna home as it has continued to embrace its musical tradition and propel classical music into the present day and future.
Highlights of Vienna include the majestic Schönbrunn Palace, Burgkapelle (home of the Vienna Boys Choir), Vienna City Cemetery, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Beethoven’s apartment in Heilgenstadt, and much more! There is no better place in the world to celebrate Beethoven’s historic 250th birthday than Vienna and the Musikverein!
